What is it with Live Journal and spam, lately? The last entry I posted received 15 spam comments, which I had to sort through and delete. Not really time consuming, but annoying, especially because I receive them as email notifications, too.

And that's just the worst example. There are quite a few other entries that have one or two spam comments clinging to them like barnacles.

If this keeps up, I may have to find another place to journal. My friend Mousey moved on about a year ago, so there are other options...I would just miss the friends that I've made through the ten years that I've been on LJ.

In my desire to post more, I am forcing myself the next ten minutes to post about what's going on in my life this past week. Here goes:

--Yesterday was Corb's birthday, and because last year was a rather depressing affair--food at his favorite Chinese restaurant, shared with me and Ashes--I made it a point to put a lot more effort into what I did for him this year, and what he received for presents.

It was held at seven, and I pretended that I was working late, to get ready for my vacation. Then, at 6:30, I had Josie called up, angry that I hadn't picked up the kids, and pretend that I had forced her to bring the kids with her on a date with Andrew, and would Corb mind picking them up at his favorite Chinese restaurant? When he got there, about ten friends had been assembled, and he picked up a lot of swag. So, I think I accomplished my mission!

--Thursday, my sister Kerrie went with me and Ashes to Salem State, so that Ashes could get a feel for her class schedule...how to get to her classes, where her dorm was located etc. While we were at it, we sorted out all the remaining Financial Aid questions, priced all her books, and had a great meal at my favorite restaurant in Salem, too.

When I got home, there was one lingering question: her laptop. Fortunately, because I've been working to improve my credit rating lately, I am now in a better condition financially, and I was able to pick it up on credit, which helps a hell of a lot with all of the other things we need to get. I have to say, that's a pretty good feeling.

--I have a job interview on Monday. My first one on twenty years! I am still employed at my current job, but I am exploring my options and seeing what else is out there. Wish me luck!

Ten minutes up! Have a great day, you all.
