"It's strange. I was born stupid and I'm still stupid. Meanwhile, I'm learning a little something, and this something comes from daily experience."
Maurizio Cattelan

"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face...You must do the thing you cannot do."
Eleanor Roosevelt

"The decisions that you make every day determine what you truly wish the focus of your life to be."
My buddy, David

These are the quotes that are running around my head right now. You must do the thing you cannot do...one's every-day decisions are truly a reflection of where you wish to focus your life's energies. And isn't that really true? By choosing not to do "that which we dare not do," aren't we truly acknowledging that we prefer the safety and comfort of our existing life, that we dare not...or desire not...the opportunity to change, to grow?

And for me, where are my energies focused? What do my actions say about the direction my life is taking? What does my journal say about the direction my life is taking?

Tired. Must go to bed. Something to dream about. So many pieces falling into place...so many other pieces left to sort of...so many things that I fear, but know I must attempt, if only to attain salvation.

What do you dare not do? (Such a leading line...go ahead, I can take it!)

I just received a call this afternoon from the apartment complex: turns out they made a mistake and offered us the wrong apartment! The one that is coming available is on a totally different street, and doesn't have a view of the pond or have a balcony.

There are two other places that are available in the next month, although both are on the third floor, not the second. But they do have balconies and the pond view. I guess this isn't a huge deal, although it won't be as convenient (the other place was "supposed" to be next door.)

In other news, looks like Corb picked up his new car today. Yeah! Of course, he's going through the hassle of getting it all insured and registered, and paying for all that. Looks as though we'll both be extremely broke this week-end.
