It's possible that Josie and I may have hit upon a workable solution to our little dilemma.

My parents are finally selling their house. It's split level, and the downstairs area is essentially like it's own apartment--living room, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom. They are willing to sell the home to us.

I guess in a way, however, I have some reservations, which we need to iron out. In some ways it's an ideal solution, and yet...hmmm...I think I have to think this one through...
