Apr. 15th, 2005 11:02 amOne year ago today, I went on a date, and it truly was one that changed my entire life.
One short month before that, I had been in one of the lowest points in my life: two fractured ribs, deep in debt, peeing on the car owned by Josie's boyfriend...okay, maybe I don't regret that last one (I know that Josie doesn't!)
That night, we walked around Providence and talked until five in the morning. And I kind of had a feeling that this was going to be a forever kind of deal.
One year's hardly forever, but my life with Lucy has been filled with laughter and a certain sense of peace that I've never experienced before in my life. There are challenges still, but I sleep peacefully knowing that they're challenges that we'll face together.
I love you, Corb. Always and forever.
