Best bets:
Who: Eldredge Players
Why: It's been almost five years since a touring version of this Broadway blockbuster last visited Providence, and fans of the musical won't be disappointed in this home-grown regional production. The Norton Singers have spared no expense with lush Victorian costumes, powerful professional voices, and an 18-piece orchestra that fills the intimate space with a rich sound. And these singers can really act! The 30-member ensemble is well balanced and the director makes excellent use of the 300-seat theater. Thrills and chills, heartache, and even a little hilarity -- it's all onstage in Jekyll & Hyde.
