The Art of a Fine French Meal

Today truly was a lovely day, starting with a walk up and down the center of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. With beautiful scenery, some very nice architecture, a demographic over the age of 60, and at least one 'Let's Go Brandon' store we observed, we have decided that it is a old straight person's version of Provincetown.
But one can find many pockets of gaiety, nevertheless. That started on the walk back, where we found an excellent breakfast place called The Village Grille & Pump, with a very flamboyant host who looked at us and said, "I'm going to see you at the leprechaun table." What is this leprechaun table? Turns out, he meant the waiter, who had red hair and blue eyes, and once came dressed up as a leprechaun on Halloween. The meal was great, the leprechaun was lovely, but as I said to Corb on the way back, "he must get REALLY sick of that nickname by now."
After that, some bathing on the beach before it rained, and both Corb and felt comfortable enough to take our shirts off in the sun, quite an accomplishment. I've lost 12 pounds down to intermittent fasting (from 210 to 198) but I suspect some of that gets reversed this trip, even after walking 15,000 steps today.'
