Wanderlust

One thing I miss most about the pre-pandemic world: travel.
For the past five years around this time, Corb and I would be getting ready for our annual excursion to the Caribbean. I got him a cruise as a surprise Christmas gift one year and it was so much fun we've been every year since, including 2020 (one of the last cruises to sail, I think). We even were married during a week-long cruise with family and friends.
Oh, what I wouldn't give for an endless blue sky and a walk or twenty around the levels of the ship. A destination to look forward to, four out of seven days. A nice cosmo and three course meal to look forward to at night.
Before the pandemic hit, the goal had been to direct Mamma Mia, retire from the Eldredge Singers and then literally sail off into the sunset in July with a trip to Italy and Greece. Of course, that was cancelled, and we have changed it to a trip to Scandinavia this July. That might happen...who knows? We might have our shots by then and the world may be getting safer, right? (P.S.: I am not holding my breath for this.)
Next month we had booked a trip, but I definitely know that's NOT going to happen. In fact, it was cancelled about a month ago and this past Saturday, I set up a replacement for February 2022. That I think will likely happen. I asked for a nine day trip, this time around, around the Southern Caribbean. Just to give us a little extra.
