THE PLANNING: Holiday card, 2011 version
Nov. 2nd, 2011 03:40 pmHoliday season, what does it mean to me? Christmas presents, seeing old friends, the birth of my first grandson?
Well, yes, all of the above...but there's also the tacky holiday card, as well.
I'm pleased to say, I'm starting to plan for my holiday card already! And this year, I've got a ton of options!
I could get all personal, and pose Annie as Mary, Slacker Chad as Joseph, and my new grandson as the baby Jesus. But I think that might get me in a little bit of hot water.
And, these past few days, I've really been tempted to put together a Very Kardashian Christmas manger scene. I'll be honest, though, I don't even have a clue who most of them are. And I don't care to, either!
Besides, I have a MUCH more interesting subject in mind this year: the Republican presidential race! Just think of all the possibilities: Michele Bachmann as a "wise" man, bearing corn dogs, Herman Cain with a pizza box and bra strap, Rick Perry with a Stetson. And I know exactly who the Baby Jesus would be, too.
