Still no electricity last night. Parts of Eldredge did start to get the juice back in the early evening, but our area stayed in the dark.
Since eating out was starting to get pricey (not to mention time consuming, since everyone else has the same idea), Corb and I took advantage of the gas grill at the apartment complex and cooked up some pork chops we had kept on ice. Well, Corb did. I pretty much sat there with him and read more of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. Book Two, whatever it's called.
However, I did come up with an idea. Corb's been complaining about a lack of TV, and it suddenly occurred to me that we did have an outlet: the portable DVD players we had set up for the kids while we traveled to Florida.
So, after dinner, we set them up in the 'stang and watched an episode of the Tudors. It was a nice feeling, watching TV in the darkness of our parking lot. Kind of like a drive-in movie, in a way.
Then, off to bed around ten o'clock. No woo hoo.
I think we'll be getting electricity back today. The Great Darkness is about to end.
