Corbie and the Dream of Burgers

Day three of the "Corb on a soft food" crisis, and signs of desperation are starting to creep in.
"You think I can buy a hamburger at McDonalds and chop it up in the blender?" he asked, yesterday.
That one didn't take long to think about. "I don't think that would be a good idea," I replied.
"Why not? I could make it nice and soft. Put it on puree. I bet it'd be fine. And I'm REALLY hungry for a cheeseburger."
"I don't think a meat shake would be a good idea," I said.
"But I want a meat shake!"
"I could give your meat a shake, if that would help..."
Corb just stared at me, not amused. "I am so not a vegetarian," he said, seriously, then added: "And, I am so not horny."
Walking through the supermarket aisle, that night. "You think I can eat tuna fish?" he asked.
"I don't think that would be a good idea..."
"I hate this..." He grabbed a large slice of ham. "What about this? Can I eat this?"
"Nope."
He grabbed an entire turkey. "What about this?"
"No."
He grabbed a chicken breast. "This?"
"You could have eggs. That's kind of like eating a baby chicken."
Corb wrinkled his nose. "Not really."
"Well...a chicken placenta, at least."
"Yuck. You sure I can't puree a hamburger in the blender?"
Sigh. This is going to be a long week-end.
