Dec. 3rd, 2006 05:09 amAnother two chapters of the Late Night Show done! That means, only six more to go, and then I've reached the finished line. Well, of the first draft, that is.
Been giving thought to where I want to go next. I still like the whole idea of digging into my journal (and perhaps Josie's, if she'd let me), and putting some of our story down. The whole "he said/she said" concept really appeals to me.
Last night, we went to see Casino Royale . Highly approve, and totally agree with all the reviews that say that it's the best Bond since the mid-sixties. I wonder if they'll now redo all of the original novels, in the order that they were published? In any event, I didn't mind the absence of the over-the-top villains or endless chase scenes. There were a few scenes in the last Pierce Brosnan film ( Die Another Day ) that strained the limits of believability. As it was, in this current movie, the first chase scene after the opening credits bordered on that, just a bit. The guy that Bond was chasing seemed to hope from wall to wall to crane to girder so much that he reminded me of a movie version of the Warf section from Mario Sunshine.
And, we're getting a new couch today! Just in time for my birthday. I can't wait.
