IS IT REALLY A THREAT?
The way they live
Our past weekend was pretty busy. I was at a church planning retreat Friday night and Saturday. (We're active there. My wonderful spouse cooks dinner every Monday night for homeless youth. While I was at church my spouse went to the bank, bought groceries, picked up cleaning. Saturday night we played bridge with friends. After Sunday services we went to Costco and later had time to just hang out with each other.
Oh, yes. I forgot to mention that we are a same-sex couple. Could someone please explain how we, and the hundreds of couples like us, pose any threat to heterosexuals by the way we live? As a Christian I know that Christ was inclusive of all and said nothing about homosexuality. I think certain folk are trying to needlessly frighten the public in order to take our minds off what really matters in this city, state and nation. They need to be taught the lesson that we don't do things that way here.

The reference to "Christ was inclusive of all" got me to thinking, because I know that the Bible does condemn homosexuality quite forcefully in parts...but I don't recall Jesus Christ in the New Testament specifically saying much of anything. Anyway, I amn certainly not a Biblical scholar, so it led me to conduct a web search, and I discovered the following helpful article:
