First off, I am totally digging on all the people on my flist who have accepted the National Novel Writing Month challenge this time around...especially you, [livejournal.com profile] missamorphosis, you're my hero, right now! Up all night, scribbling away. I'm impressed!

Me, I am participating, too, although I'm using the month as a source of inspiration to move forward on The Late Night Show . So far, it's been helpful. I just posted a chapter this afternoon that I shared on my LJ writing sub-list, and I'm almost done with yet another chapter...at least, in hard copy. I still need to do the typing thing.

Tonight Corb and I went to Dave and Buster's and racked up, like, a gazillion credits. Then we walked over to Joe's American Bar and Grill and actually ate at the bar. It was a nice feeling. No waiting for a table, and you had a nice view of the TV. Of course, all they play is football.

Tomorrow morning, Josie and I are taking the kids to the Big Apple. There's something that's been way overdue this fall: apple picking. But it's just been so crappy outside. This week-end has been a welcome change. Expect pictures...and another chapter!

Okay, Corb's snoring away, so I'm going to bury myself in the latest book I'm reading. It's the antithesis of the Harry Potter Phone Book (as I so lovingly refer to it)...it's called The Reshaping of Everyday Life 1790-1840 . I find myself oddly fascinated with the daily lives of Americans who lived in this country in the days before malls.
