Not to be culturally insensitive, and keep in mind, this is coming from a guy who's managed to collect every episode of Lost In Space on videotape, but what is it with these DVD collections of really bad television series? I keep seeing The A-Team being advertised...and now they're coming out with Land of the Lost . I mean, what's next--"The Complete Electro-Woman and Dyna-Girl"?

I started off the week of the Democratic National Convention by seeing Fahrenheit 911 last night. There's so much in this movie, but the scene that really got my blood boiling is Bush addressing an audience of his rich buds, where he says, "You're an impressive crowd...and truly my base: the haves and the have mores."

If I were the Dems, I'd play that scene over again...I mean, how can anyone watch that and not be angry? This truly is a race where I am more motivated to vote against someone than I am to vote for someone. This man has promoted an agenda catering to his own special interests, and doesn't care a whit about the American people, or what he's doing to the country. Grrrr!

On another note, besides spending a lot of time with Nana--who looked much better yesterday--I spent Saturday night with Corb and his family, and although I was tired, I was really touched by how welcoming they all were. I truly felt as though I were a member of the family. His grandmother is so sweet, and I talked to her a lot about my own grandmother.

After that, the two of us went to see Anchorman, and then crashed at my place. After seeing Nana Sunday afternoon, I saw the kids and stayed there until ten. It was good "hang time" with the Tiger. Ashley had a friend over, and they seem to really get along well. This is good: I just want Ashley to have one good friend!

Now here's a movie I HAVE to see!

"A stinky hairball on the soiled rug of the summer blockbuster schedule, gruesome enough to have been ejected from the esophagus of Bill the Cat..."
-- John Beifuss, COMMERCIAL APPEAL (MEMPHIS, TN)

"Over-the-top and mostly preposterous, Catwoman just might be the Mommie Dearest of comic-book-based movies."
-- Robert Denerstein, DENVER ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS

"Arguably the worst superhero film ever made."
-- Jay Boyar, ORLANDO SENTINEL

"So bad that I actually recommend you see it. It's the movie you and your friends will rip on all summer long."
-- James Brundage, FILMCRITIC.COM

"To cattily paraphrase from the Superman tagline - 'You won't believe a woman can purr!'"
-- Michael Elliott, MOVIE PARABLES
