Random observation #1
This morning, as I walking out of the apartment, I went to throw a bag of trash into the dumpster. The dumpster had been emptied that morning, and the bag landed with a thud, and I heard a hiss. I glanced over and thought I saw a fur coat, so I craned my neck in farther to look in, and realized with a start that there were about five raccoons scrambling all over themselves. They looked up at me with beedy little black eyes.
Big wimp that I am, I let out a "yeep!" and ran to my car.
Random observation #2
Last night, while I was out food shopping with Corb, I picked up a great book: “Stiff: the Curious Lives of Human Cadavers.” Definitely a must read, especially when you’re on your lunch break eating a ham sandwich! For example, I never really thought about why we call our food things like "ham," "beef," or "veal"...until I thought about the alternative: "pig," "cow," "lamb"...
Random observation #3
I was listening to gaydar radio this afternoon, and Whitney Houston’s song “I’m You’re Baby Tonight” came on. I am so clueless—suddenly, I thought about the line “You’ve given me ecstasy” in a totally new light, and started laughing hysterically!
