So Scotty has Alzheimer's, eh? I think that's terribly sad.

Don't you wish that brains were more like computers, and when you ran out of space, all you'd have to do is to attach extra memory into the back of your neck?

Actually, during my less lucid moments, I seriously wonder whether someone should look into that sort of option. Of course, the problem would be, how much additional memory would be necessary to keep the brain going strong? It'd probably be a fairly huge attachment.

I'm scrambling around today, trying to tie everything up before I leave for vacation.

I'll be traveling to New Hamster tomorrow with Corb. Since he works for Marriott, he's gotten us a great suite at a dirt cheap rate, and we'll be staying there until Monday, at which point we travel to Maine (around the Saco River area) to meet up with the kids and my friend Pauline. We'll be there camping until next Thursday.

Pauline is coming up with her daughter, Amber, and was supposed to go with her new boyfriend and his son. However, she just broke up with that boyfriend. The good news (for me) is that, as a result, she might be bringing up her ex-boyfriend, Bob, instead. Bob is one of the most wonderful guys in the world--handsome, articulate, well-read, amiable, a real outdoors guy...some of my best vacations have been with Bob.

Annie will be bringing up Tiger and Ashley in her car, following Pauline. Annie will bring her boyfriend, Chad, with her. Oh, and Prince will be going, too.

Of course, the kids will only see Corb as a friend. Detailed information, in my opinion, is honestly not necessary at this stage in the game.

This is going to be a great vacation.

Tiger has been totally obsessed with getting a puppy for Christmas. He even asked me to take him to a pet shop to look at puppies last night, and says he can't get one puppy that he saw out of his head. He can't, obviously. First, we don't need another pet; second, where don't know where things will be at that point, and third, puppies require a lot of attention--and I don't know how he'll get it with the kids at school and Josie at work. Any suggestions on how to deflect this?
