Dec. 16th, 2003 12:13 amDuring this time of stress, as often happens, I find myself turning to one sure-fire source of comfort food that has never failed to make me feel better. It always reminds me of my parents' house, when I was five and would go down to my grandmother's apartment at night to watch TV and sit next to her, and fall asleep listening to the sound of her crochet needles clacking together.
Tea with milk and sugar, and toast (slightly burned) smothered in lots of Skippy peanut butter.
You can have all the booze and sex you want. To me, there's simply no better remedy in the world.
