Despite the writers block that has hung over my head like a black cloud these past few months, I was able to finish a short story today. I drove to the park in our convertible with the top down, found a cozy spot to park, pushed the front seat way back, and stuck my bare feet out the window. Then I started attacking that yellow legal pad.

I had been working on this story for some time--I had actually set down a longer piece to take it on. It's a personal work (which mean it's really not intended to go anywhere). It's about a party Josie and I went to a while back, where there was only one straight guy there. It's not really a happy story, more of a troubled one. A bit indicative of the space that we're currently residing in.

Anyway, once it's typed up, I may share it here. But I think I'm going to play around with it a bit. Not certain I'm entirely happy with it yet.

Will be seeing Josie's play tonight. Wee hah! Hell bent for leather.
