My first ACT meeting
Jun. 20th, 1983 12:51 pm Steve went to Boston today. I, on the other hand, rode my bike to the high school to help clean the theater. Kurt was hitting on Cammy, who has decided to join drama club. Talked with Heidi a bit. Mr Bunten has a new job if he doesn't get rehired. He's very excited. It's depressing. Chris Ables and I rode over to Deb Flamand's to go with her to pick up stuff from Mark Holmes. Deb told me in private that she's in a lot of pain and cannot sleep at night. After waiting for Mark, and Deb calling Miss Cobb to yell at her (WHY?), we finally got the stuff moved and taken to the high school. I discovered I lost my wallet at Deb's. I went to Mark's house after that (I looked for Steve but he wasn't home yet). Finally found my wallet (or, someone did. Jodie Meyers called my house and mom was pissed.) Mark picked it up on the way to Jenay's.
Jenay was having the Attleboro Little Theater meeting at her house and I went, as did Joyce, MB and John. They yelled about the plays they were doing next year. I think they're just like an adult North Attleboro High School drama club. Mark wants to do "Sound of Music." I'd be in it if he did. They decided to decide later and then Frank approached them with plans to do a play in the summer called "Perfectly Frank." Then they voted for new officers (Gary, president; Sylvia, VP; Miss Cobb and Mark, board of directors). After that, they awarded Frank a plaque for "Most active member of ALT." I was a bit surprised. Richard talked to me and Joyce a lot.
Then MB, John, Joyce and I went for a walk. Joyce got angry because I told Mark I wanted to see "La Cage Aux Folles" as she felt it was an inappropriate thing to say. (WHY?) Joyce was home last, as Mark wanted to talk "shop" with her (like the time he read a condom manual to a bunch of old ladies at his work?)
When I got home I called Steve and we talked for a few minutes (he was at a friends, and his mom told him to call me.) He had fun with Holly. They acted weird in the subway (pretending to talk to Kurt and myself as if we were really there.) All in all, not a bad day.
