Induced.

Today was induction day. I rode to the school to help set up for it and met Steve there. we fooled around a bit, getting stuck in the Biology room and hiding and stuff like that. 

[2026 note: I doubt that "fooling around" meant anything more than innocent silliness. The only time I recall doing something that approached something sexual in the school with Steven was one time where we ended up in the costume closet and fell into each other's arms. We lay like that for what felt like forever and I so wanted to kiss him...and I wish I had. But I was afraid of what would have happened had I been reading the signals wrong, so I did nothing. I remember that moment distinctly, it will stay with me forever. But I feel like that was during a winter month and I will find an entry about it at some point.]

Pauline and MB were also there and we talked a while. I rode home and that night Chet picked me up. He said that Holly told him that in Medfield, I would be the best looking guy there, and Kurt replied, "It tells you how bad guys are in Medfield." 

I think Jason ripped off $5 in my wallet, because I left it in Chet's car in the afternoon. 

Induction went okay. Both Steve and I received bloopers, and matching ones at that. (Steve: You wouldn't have gotten one if it wasn't for me.")

Sue and I planned to go to the movies, but it didn't pan out. I sat with MB, Pauline, Sue, Jenny and John. Saw Kenny there--he was annoyed I didn't like Prince.

[2026 note: Kenny and I always disagreed musically. He once burst into tears because I said I didn't like Blondie's Auto American album.]

It all went okay. I wore a wire hanger shirt for entertainment, put on a white shirt for "Maintain." 

Afterwards, Chet drove Steve and I to Mr Bunten's hearing, dropping off Dave and Deb A. at HoJos. Dave was actually civil to me, which is a first. Mr. B's hearing isn't going too well. After the three of us went to HoJos, Frank and Chet treated Steve like a child and loren was just snippy to him. Steve made Deb and I make up, and I do mean MADE. But we ended up happy. 

[2024 note: This refers to Deb F. I am acutely aware there were far too many girls named Deb in 1983.]

Deb was nervous because Kurt and Lori Smith borrowed her car. Chet drove me, Kurt, and Lori Smith home. Lori was super flirtatious tonight. Deb drove Steve home.
