Just finished reading a short story written by Michael Backus titled "My Bad" which started out interesting and disturbing but just kind of petered off at the end. It was about a 30-something couple who are visiting the wife's sister. The story starts with the two parked in their car outside the local high school, smoking and joint. They then go in to the school to watch their niece's basketball game. The wife turns to her husband and whispers, "Which one would you like to fuck?" and the husband points out a short, determined member of the team, and the wife says, "So would I." The basketball team then ends up attending a pajama party at the aunt's house. It's fairly clear from the set up what happens next, although it doesn't really (which is why I think that the author kind of wimped out).

A bit like American Beauty. In fact, a lot. And it doesn't really even scratch the surface...I thought American Beauty hit it dead on. I'd rate it a 5 out of 10. But it did raise interesting issues and the beginning played with my head.
