tedwordsToday was Michael's last day at work--this time for good.
God, I'll miss that guy. He has been a ray of sunshine through a very difficult period.
Tomorrow he travels to San Diego, then possibly to San Fran, then to Scotland. But he'll be back in between his trips, and he's promised to call me once he returns from his trip.
It's nice having a guy best friend (which is not the same as my relationship with my true best friend, Josie). Today I printed out a copy of my novel as a way of saying "thanks." (Those of you thinking, "I'd hate to see how you pay back your enemies, if that's how you reward your friends," can sit back down in the back row, thank you very much).
This has been such a positive friendship. There have been relationships that I've been in that haven't been that positive lately, but I can honestly say that I've learned something from each one. But nothing even romote to what I've learned from Michael.
Warm summer night. Pool is clean and was just filled. The place is jumping with ratlings.
Life is damn good right now. I'm at peace.
