"Get busy living--or get busy dying." Stephen King

Well, there goes my goal to post more often in my journal...although I started off great in January, I only did one entry in February, and its been about a month since that.

I'm going to cut myself some slack. This is an incredibly busy time for both me and Corb. My new work responsibilities are completely out of control--I feel like I spend my entire day at work hitting hundreds of tennis balls over the net, every hour. Respond, respond, respond. It's not really great fun, and last week's huge banking news didn't make things any easier.

On the plus side, I wrapped up cardio rehab on Wednesday this week. It's been six months and truth be told, I was a little sad to see it end. The two ladies that I have been working with--the physical therapist and the coordinator, have almost become like family to me. Twice a week I would wake up at 5:45 for 7 and stumble my way into the hospital, and they would always be there with a kind smile and a cup of support. I hugged both of them when I received my diploma--and to think, during my first session, I actually fainted at the end...I was too nerved up. My blood pressure and all my vitals have gone way down since then.

I feel good about myself and my future. I feel stronger. And I know what my future contains for the next two years, and even giving some thought to what comes next. At least there is a strong future for me.

Corb's business is going well. Here is a look at that lamp he bought that I posted a photo of back in January. He hand stitched it back together and it looks fantastic.

Other than that? The kids are doing well, although Ashes needs to plan more for her wedding in October. I wrote to her today and gently reminded her we really should get together. I have continued to torture Corb with shitty Hollywood musicals--this week was a forgotten Betty Grable vehicle called Sweet Rosie O'Grady, in honor of St. Patrick's day, that he promptly fell asleep to, five minutes in.

And? Planning our next vacation, which takes place in a little over two weeks. Flying to Barbados for four days after which we head off on a seven day cruise to Trinidad and Topago, Dominica, St. Vincent, Grenada and St. Lucia. For St. Lucia, I didn't like the excursions the cruise offered, so I did some digging and found a trip to Sulpher Springs that includes a mud bath. I have always wanted to try this, so I am very excited to be able to check it out. After that, we are going to Miami for a few days at our favorite spa, The Palms.

I have been doing a little bit of planning every day or so. It's been a good way to stay sane.

In other words, you may not have heard much from me the past few months, but that will all change in a few weeks.
