Slept in Theo's room last night (as I usually do on Friday nights, lately). I prefer it, because I think it's the most comfortable room in the apartment. We had created it ourselves by splitting the kitchen in half and building in a fake wall. One of the advantages is that it's connected directly to the balcony, so you can open up the sliding doors and feel the cool night air coming in all night long.

And, you can then wake up and sit on the balcony in your pajamas! So, here I am, enjoying a beautiful fall morning and typing away on the balcony in my jammies. It's a nice way to start off the day, feeling the cool of the concrete on your toes, the sounds of folks waking up. The cats, resting by the balcony door, enjoying the breeze. Corb, cleaning in the other room. Small white birds chirping away and coming to rest on the balcony railings.

A sweet beginning to what I'll make into a beautiful day.
