tedwordsLast night was shopping night for the kids, an annual last minute custom for Josie and me that continues to this day.
One change this year--Corb came with us. It was a lot of fun, actually. Corb really helped to lighten things up, and I found that we laughed an awful lot throughout the whole experience.
Around 10:20, Corb had to leave to go to work, and Josie and I decided to go out to eat. I had promised her a dinner for our wedding anniversary this year...and no, Josie, I'm not going to name what year it is, because I just know I'll get it wrong!
I ended up ordering a HUGE drink that resembled a small urn. It was allegedly a lemonade, but had as much booze in it as a long Island Iced tea. Needless to say, I was feeling no pain by the end of the night. I stumbled out of her car and lurched to my front door at the end of the night...and I'm paying with a huge hangover right now.
What a perfect way to end the evening...and yes, Josie, I am quite happy with this period in my life. That we can still be such good pals...that we can joke around about our love lives (and even make Corb blush!) is amazing and wonderful and satisfying, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
But poor Corb...after all that shopping, he had to go to work, while we got to party!
