tedwordsEven though Tiger's eight years old, and a tough kid, he's still just a little guy at heart.
Tonight we went to Suncoast so that I could pick up a copy of Desperate Housewives , Season One. While we were there, Tiger discovered a stuffed Sonic the Hedgehog.
All the way home he kept spinning it around, making noises and talking to it under his breath.
In bed tonight, he did the same thing. He kept curling it up into a ball and spinning it around, just as Sonic does in the video game.
He’s asleep now, and it’s in his arms. So cute.

Oh. Desperate Housewives
Well, I did enjoy it, and I want to watch the first season, because there were quite a few episodes that I missed, but I still think that my analysis after I watched my first episode is not far off the mark. Let’s take a trip in the way-back machine, shall we?
Sunday, I finally caught an episode of Desperate Housewives . As Corb said at the end, it was all right. Oh, I think that some parts of it sagged just a tiny bit, and a bit of it seems somewhat familiar (the voiceover narration by the dead lady is just a riff on Sex in the City , some of the plot elements resemble a more sedate version of Twin Peaks ), but hey...slightly saggy...somewhat familar..I mean, what else would you expect from a show about four broads approaching middle age?
I'd watch it again. I do continue to harbor, however, lingering suspicions that Teri Hatcher isn't much of an actress.
We'll see if I change my mind once I watch it all the way through.

According to National Public Radio, today was Bruce Springsteen’s birthday. They celebrated it with a poetic recitation of Glory Days .
I brought this up to my cell mate, Peg, who’s the biggest Springsteen fan that I know. “I know this may be bordering on a sensitive subject,” I said, “But I had to turn of my radio in disgust. It was like hearing William Shatner recite Mr Tambourine Man, except without the music or the entertainment value.”
“No offense taken,” she laughed. “Actually, there’s a lot of poetry in Springsteen. Only, very little of it’s in Glory Days .”

And all day long, I've been thinking about Texas and Louisiana...and Rita.
A hard rain's gonna fall. There. There's poetry in that.
