Even with the late start, we got a lot accomplished today. After breakfast at twelve thirty, we headed off for the Polar Caves, and spent the afternoon on the road, arriving at our destination by 3:30. The caves were breathtaking, but it was a lot of walking. Corb's forehead grew beaded with sweat as we made our way through the caves, and we had to take a short break in the main lodge before embarking on the nature walk.
However, surprise kisses in the caves are a really cool thing.

After lobster at a very family restaurant called George's Seafood, we sought out a spectacular natural swimming hole in Hebron, and took off our sneakers and walked across the rocks, feeling the cool water against our feet, and, in some cases, rising up to our knees. The sun was setting at that point, and we decided it was time to make our way back to the hotel. After a few minutes, we jumped back in the car and headed into Nashua, and ended the night at a jazz bar called Michael Timothy's. I had creme broulet, and the two of us sat there enjoying the music, and watching the candle on our table flicker and dance every time the piano player struck a chord.
