I haven't posted in a while, and believe me, I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms. My computer somehow picked up a virus on Friday night that hit it harder than an old one-legged sailor suffering from a bad case of gonorrhea. I've been scrambling around trying to pick up the pieces ever since. I'm not finding that Norton Anti-Virus is helping much, either. In fact, it seems to be making it worse.
Today I dropped Corb off at the airport. He's traveling to Baltimore for a four day conference. It's been the first time we haven't seen each other in four days in probably over a year. I think I'll be suffering from acute withdrawal. Needless to say, I've had the blues all morning.
My life is crazy right now. What I wouldn't give to just have days where I could relax and catch up with what everyone's been up to on LJ. Or days where I could just write, for hours on end. Looking forward to five weeks from now, let me tell you.
For another reason, too: Josie and I been approved to refinance the house. This will allow us to pay off our credit card debt (which I'm currently paying $425 a month for), which means I can actually (finally) fold my rent back into my regular pay. For the past two years, I've been drawing off my savings, and living on the cheap.
I'm starting to feel human again, and that's good news. Plan for lots of nocompromises adventures this summer!
