As I expected, Joe took out the nastier analogies from my Beth Ward story...things like "her brunette hair glistened in the rain, like a nose hair after a sneeze" and "she laughed a deep, throaty, genuine laugh, like the sound a dog makes before it throws up." Oh well...I thought that because these are supposedly from actual high school students (not written by me), they might get through. Silly me.

HEY! Exciting news last night...I went to a Board meeting for the group I direct plays for, and they may be adding on a fall show on a permanent basis. To differentiate themselves, they're considering staging a concert version of a production, which would allow them to do take on more ambitious products. I think there's a good possibility that the first one they select (at my urging) may be Chess .

Anyone who knows me knows that that's my dream come true. I would gladly juggle the writing responsibilities to take on that production. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one...
