I think it's obvious what happened on tonight's show.
Clearly, the three best singers in the competition were in the bottom three--LaToya, Jennifer, and Fantasia. Why?
I don't think it has anything to do with it being a popularity contest. I think that what happened is that this year, the best singers are all powerhouse black divas...and they all split the votes.
It's kind of like Ralph Nader siphoning votes away from Al Gore, tipping the balance in Bush's favour.
In any event, I'm disappointed, because Jennifer was my favorite.
