I wrote this to a friend...

Realism's always good
To keep the dreams from growing
To the size of elephants
but dreams are what feed us
And wishing's a daylight extension of dreams
Don't let go of the wishing
Like a child letting go of a baloon
There's no saying whether it will come back
Or fade away into the distance

...and I kind of like it. I've been spending too much time in the harsh light of day lately...or night. I need to spend more time feeding the soul, and wishing and dreaming. It's time to blow out a few more candles.
