Annie, ALT
Oct. 23rd, 1983 04:39 pmWent to see Annie today with Attleboro Little Theater. Doug barely said hi to me, so I guess the "crowd" is a bit perturbed with me. Life goes on.
The show was almost completely sold out. I was all set to sit alone, when Lauren came over, and I sat with the Mandells. Lauren is a but upset about Skin of Our Teeth, because she didn't get a bit part. She says that play is going badly. She's also not friends with Heidi H. any more, as her former best friend has become quite the snob.
The show went really well, although little girls voices always go right through me. During intermission, we went to visit folks. I saw Jenay. She was really tired with the play, although the orchestra is quite good. She told me Sue hates Frank now. She was the reason he was fired from Annie, although he was rehired to conduct the orchestra later on.
I did talk to Frank, about the possibility of me doing Lil Abner, the next play he is directing. Maybe.
I left the show a bit depressed. It was nice to see Lauren, Frank and Jenay, but I feel so excluded nowadays, and left out of everyone's life.
Got home, spoke with Kim. I was a bit a down. Then called Cheryl, and I felt really great after an hour chat with her. I called Kim L back and things were a lot better.
Talked to Joyce that night, from 11 to midnight. Joyce is coming home in two weeks. I can hardly wait--I haven't seen her in so long!
