Ashes to ashes
Sep. 25th, 2003 11:15 amDid you ever notice how things always look so much better after a good sleep? People sometimes don't (especially once the alcohol has worn off), but situations can be like vampires--when you take a good hard look at them under the light of day, what seemed scary and invincible seems to magically crumble into a pile of dust.
Man, I've learned so much these past three weeks. I hardly feel like the same person.
I'm working out of the apartment this morning, and the ducks are quacking up a storm. The work has been focused, which is good. I'm rereading Amelia one last time and have already gone through 50 pages. I'm pleased with what I have accomplished; in fact, some of the lines I'm extremely pleased with and I don't feel the need to take a red pen through every page any more (although I have wielded my pen on quite a few occasions!)
After this read, I'll send it off to Jen and focus on a new project. I have a short story I want to tame and a web site that woefully needs updating.
